CIDRZ Head of HIV Prevention chosen for 2016 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders

Congratulations to Musonda Musonda, Head of CIDRZ HIV Prevention programmes for being chosen to join the 2016 class of the Mandela Washington Fellowship this June. She will spend six weeks taking part in the Academic Institute under the Public Management Track at the University of Minnesota where she will hone her leadership skills and network with other young leaders from sub-Saharan Africa and the United States. After this Musonda will attend the three-day Summit in Washington D.C. hosted by President Obama where she will interact with U.S. leaders in the fields of business, government and the non-profit sector.

Musonda is currently Vice Chair of the CIDRZ Management Forum, and has successfully lead the PEPFAR/CDC-funded Community COMPACT HIV prevention programme in rural Kalabo and peri-urban Kanyama, the MAC AIDS Fund-funded Aliyense PMTCT programme for the underserved  urban Kalikiliki community, and  is currently leading the MAC-AIDS Fund-funded Comprehensive PMTCT for at-risk Youth programme.
