CIDRZ Welcomes Dr Christopher Ng’andwe MSc, MMED as Head of Saving Mothers Giving Life Accelerating Maternal care Access Initiative

Dr Christopher Ng’andwe

Dr Christopher Ng’andwe MSc (Human Reproductive Biology) and MMED (Obs/Gyn) earned from Imperial College, London and UNZA respectively has joined CIDRZ in the role of Programme Head of the CIDRZ Saving Mothers Giving Life (SMGL) project known as the Accelerating Maternal care Access Initiative (AMAI).

In his immediately previous role, Dr Ng’andwe served as Team Leader for Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition at the USAID-funded Zambia Integrated System Strengthening Program (ZISSP). He has 20 years of experience in Clinical and Public Health with expertise in leading the planning, design and implementation of health systems strengthening programs in Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, and Reproductive Health including Family Planning at all levels of health care. He is broadly interested in clinical and public health, including research related to these areas.
