
As part of his onboarding activities, CIDRZ CEO, Dr Otto Chabikuli has embarked on a familiarisation tour to gain firsthand insight into ongoing operations, reviewing progress, and identifying opportunities for organisational growth.
On Thursday, Dr Otto met with the CIDRZ Central Laboratory team and conducted a guided tour of the facility, obtaining updates on ongoing projects, existing capacity, and potential areas for development.
During the engagement, he commended the team for their dedication and achievements and encouraged the development of a clear strategic roadmap to support the expansion of CIDRZ’s laboratory services.
Dr Otto, who was accompanied by CIDRZ Chief Scientific Officer, Dr Monde Muyoyeta, expressed confidence that strengthened collaboration between leadership and laboratory teams will drive progress in the priority development areas discussed, further enhancing CIDRZ’s contribution to high-quality public health research and service delivery.
He encouraged staff to remain dedicated and innovative in their work, assuring them that, “I am your biggest cheerleader”.
Dr Otto added that, “without the lab, no proper treatment can happen. “
