Current Studies - HIV prevention, care and treatment

In order to collection confidential patient experience data for the on-going PCPH research study, the department developed a mobile phone based real time data collection tool using the USSD platform. So far close to 2000 participants have been enrolled. Participants who do not complete or start the survey are sent reminders via SMS. In addition to this, participants who complete the survey receive an airtime incentive. With this strategy, the participation rate is at 50%.

The SI department provides overall data management support and capacity building for the ACHIEVE programme at both facility and district level. The department supports data collection, triangulation, analysis, reporting, training and mentorship for improved data quality and service delivery. This includes the development and deployment of data management and monitoring tools with use of different technologies (FIMS, SmartCare, and data extraction scripts). We support facilities across a wide geographical area both in Western and Lusaka Province.
