Health services support - Vulnerable Children & Adolescent Health

We will train our peers to provide mental health and GBV support services using CIDRZ’s Common Elements Treatment Approach (CETA) to address anxiety, stress, depression, and suicidal thoughts, with referral of serious cases to professional services. This treatment will tackle behavioral problems including alcohol abuse and risky sexual behavior. We will orient adolescents in our program on GBV (especially sexual) & provide psychosocial counselling & referral services as needed.

We will develop a Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and emergency response mobile App the ‘OTZ plus App’. Other than SRHR and COVID-19 information, the App will alert AYPs to SRH and mental health services nearest to them, treatment reminders, online skills development materials/webinars, and allow online orders for some SRHR products (e.g., contraception) which shall be delivered at cost to pick up points of individuals’ choice. Specific to COVID-19, we will build in a self-assessment check for adolescents to assess if COVID-19 symptoms and alert health care workers.
