CIDRZ’s REVIVE Study Team recently held an in-house training on the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) sub-study. REVIVE, a multicentre trial, evaluates azithromycin prophylaxis to reduce mortality among adults with Advanced HIV Disease (AHD).

Staff from Matero, George, and Chawama Clinical Research Sites, along with the CIDRZ Central Laboratory, participated in hands-on sessions, including a full workflow dry run to ensure high-quality implementation and adherence to good clinical practice.

The REVIVE-AMR sub-study will assess the impact of azithromycin on antimicrobial resistance in adults with AHD across Sub-Saharan Africa, providing critical insights to inform the trial’s net benefits.

This training strengthens site readiness and CIDRZ’s commitment to generating robust, reliable data across 60 sites in 14 countries.
