110 proposals. 27 new awards. Countless hours of hard work

CIDRZ Chief Executive Officer, Dr Otto Chabikuli, addresses colleagues, recognising the dedication, teamwork and commitment of researchers, programme leads and business development teams behind the organisation’s successful proposals.

Behind these achievements are people whose ideas, commitment and teamwork are helping shape the future of health research in Zambia.

Recently, the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) brought colleagues together for its Business Development Pipeline Reflection and Appreciation event to celebrate the teams behind these milestones and recognise their contribution to advancing research and improving public health.

Over the past year, CIDRZ teams submitted 110 proposals, surpassing the target of 80, and secured 27 new awards. These awards will support research and public health programmes aimed at improving health outcomes for communities across Zambia and the region.

CIDRZ Chief Executive Officer, Dr Otto Chabikuli, thanked researchers, programme leads and business development teams for their dedication, recognising the late nights, teamwork and attention to detail that went into making each submission possible.

Behind every proposal is an idea to improve health in Zambia. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
