CIDRZ’s status as a leading independent Non-Governmental Organisation in Zambia has only been achieved through the hard work of brilliant individuals who have constantly raised the bar high and pursued the frontiers of excellence in tackling critical research questions relevant to Zambia and the region. Consequently, it was gratifying for CIDRZ to celebrate its employees along side other organisations based in Kitwe district to commemorate Labour Day yesterday under the theme, Building Resilience: Workers at the Heart of Zambia’s Economic Recovery. The theme underscored the crucial role that workers play as a driving force in the country’s economic recovery programme. 

The day was characterised by captivating speeches from government and the labour movement and exciting displays from various organisations that kicked off the day with a colourful match past. To cap it off, CIDRZ was honoured with the BEST DISPLAY award during the commemorations in Kitwe.
