CIDRZ Engages Chimwemwe Level 1 Hospital on Diagnostic Service Collaboration

The CIDRZ Central Laboratory team recently held a successful clinical engagement last week with Chimwemwe Level 1 Hospital in Kitwe. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce and promote the extensive diagnostic services available through the CIDRZ Central Laboratory, with a focus on complementing and enhancing the hospital’s current laboratory operations.

During the session, CIDRZ Laboratory team delivered a compelling presentation outlining how a collaboration could significantly improve diagnostic capacity, reduce turnaround times, and deliver consistent, high-quality test results, ultimately driving better patient care.

The team also highlighted the socio-economic benefits of this collaboration, including reduced patient referral burdens, lower healthcare costs, and improved access to specialised tests, which would ultimately contribute to better health outcomes for the surounding communities.

Meanwhile, Chimwemwe Level 1 Hospital expressed strong interest in working with CIDRZ Central Laboratory, marking a promising step toward a fruitful collaboration to strengthen healthcare service delivery in the region.
