The Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), through its Proud Z Project Paediatric and Adolescents Unit, successfully partnered with the Lusaka Provincial Health Office (LPHO) to conduct an integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) outreach at the University of Lusaka (UNILUS) Silverest Campus.
The main aim of the initiative was to generate demand for, and raise awareness about, a range of services for adolescents and young people (AYP), including sexual and reproductive health, HIV testing and prevention, mental health support, social and behavioural change, and post-sexual violence care.
Through this outreach, CIDRZ and LPHO strengthened both awareness and access to comprehensive SRH services for young people, while promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering students to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
