CIDRZ, through its Person-Centred Approaches to Address Viremia (P-CORE) Study is making significant strides at Mukonchi Rural Health Centre in Kapiri Mposhi District, one of the twelve participating facilities in Central Province.
During a recent visit, the P-CORE team met with facility staff and field teams to review ongoing interventions and evaluate the impact of study activities on HIV care and treatment outcomes. Key achievements at Mukonchi include the successful tracing of clients with minimal or no complete locator information, strengthened collaboration among the study team, facility staff, and community-based volunteers, and a tracing rate of at least 80 percent among sampled clients who were lost to follow-up.
The implementation of the P-CORE Study at Mukonchi has also enhanced the facility’s capacity to identify and reconnect individuals lost to follow-up, ensuring they receive ongoing care and support to achieve viral suppression.
The P-CORE Study at Mukonchi Rural Health Centre is part of a broader initiative implemented by CIDRZ, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, across 24 public health facilities in Lusaka and Central Provinces, aimed at strengthening person-centred approaches to addressing uncontrolled HIV viremia and supporting sustained viral suppression.
