CIDRZ and the Ministry of Health, with support from the United States Government through the Controlling the HIV Epidemic Project (CHEP), are working to strengthen healthcare provider capacity to standardise and enhance the delivery of life-saving HIV prevention and treatment services.
As part of the ongoing Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) in HIV prevention, participants visited selected health facilities in Ndola District to observe and assess service delivery on the ground.
The visits were an integral part of the ToT on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), assessing how these services, alongside antiretroviral therapy (ART), are delivered at the facility level.
Findings from these visits will help identify gaps, adopt best practices, and inform capacity-strengthening initiatives to improve service delivery.
As CHEP takes on a greater role in supporting HIV prevention, treatment, and care, such initiatives are helping build a more responsive and resilient health system that delivers client-centred care and improves health outcomes.
