CIDRZ Provides Chongwe District Hospital Men’s Clinic with a 40 inch LED TV

The Center for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) through the Men’s Clinic program handed over a 40 Inch LED TV to Chongwe District Hospital.

In handing over the TV, CIDRZ Coordinator – Community Posts & Men’s Clinic Initiatives, Dr. James Zulu said with the raise in in numbers for men accessing the facility, the screen will be used in the waiting room to disseminate Health information to men waiting to be attended to and this is important as many men will be able to be sensitized on issues affecting their health.

“This 40inch TV was procured in the last year from the CIDRZ Achieve project with financial Support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)” said Dr Zulu.

And Dr Morton Zuze, the Acting Medical Superintendent for Chongwe District hospital thanked CIDRZ for the cordial support the Men’s clinic Initiative has been receiving since the inception of the model.

Dr Zuze further appealed for more support seeing that the facility had seen an increase in the number of men accessing the health services.

In line with our TA strategy, CIDRZ has continued to assist LPHO to improve case identification and improve HIV management through Mentorship to all 33 Men’s Clinics in Lusaka Urban, Chongwe, Kafue and Chilanga including all the 20 Community Posts in Lusaka Urban, Chongwe and Chilanga.
