The Pregnant Parenting Girls (P2G) and USAID Empowered Children Adolescent Program (ECAP) III projects, under The Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) participated in the Matero sub district adolescent day, under the theme; “The Transition of Adolescents Through the Delivery of Sexual Reproductive Health Services and Rights (SRHSR)”.
Adolescent day is an annual event where adolescents and youth-friendly spaces exhibit their day-to-day activities from their health centres.
In a speech read on his behalf by a representative – Mr. Emmanuel Bwalya, the Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) for Matero constituency- Mr. Miles Sampa said this program promotes Government’s vision for better adolescent health services country wide.
The MP thanked the Ministry of Health and other implementing partners for taking a keen interest in expanding the programs within the communities that are a key response to the various sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescents and young people.
He added that he looked forward to enhanced collaboration between the Government, private sector, community, and all other partners in enhancing the Lives of adolescents.
